Lewis Brito-Babapulle was educated at Trinity School, Croydon, where he was an Academic Scholar. He subsequently read Music at Oxford University as Organ Scholar at St. Peter’s College. He graduated BA, 1st Class, 2004 and M.St., Distinction 2006 and gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Organists in 2005 winning the Turpin and Durrant Prize.
After graduating, Lewis trained and qualified as a solicitor alongside holding a number of prominent Organist’s positions in London, and freelancing as an Organ Accompanist and Soloist. He embarked on his teaching career in 2011, firstly at St. Benedict’s School Ealing, where he was also organist to Ealing Abbey Choir, and most recently Stowe School where he was Assistant Director of Music and Organist. He returned to his Alma Mater in January 2015 as Head of Academic Music. Lewis has broadcast and recorded as an Organist, Accompanist, Continuo Player and Conductor and has accompanied Choirs at Cathedrals in the UK and abroad.
